Palencia (Castilla y León region, Spain), hosted 12-14 June an interregional workshop addressed to private and public stakeholders of the wild nuts and berries value chain. The Spanish Institute for Agricultural and Food Research and Technology (INIA) organised this event with the collaboration of Sustainable Forest Management Research Institute (iuFOR). The workshop aimed workshop aims to provide helpful insights for both public and private stakeholders about the effects of climate change, the damages caused by pest and diseases and how to combat them.

Producers, companies, public and private owners, and other actors in the chesnut value chain, were invited to participate in this Science to Practice event in Balboa (León, Spain) on 22 May. The objective of the meeting was to discuss the potential of chestnut production activities, its contribution to economic development in rural areas and management planning as a tool for the reduction of the effects of wild fires.

An Interregional Workshop organised in Marseille by National Centre for Forest Ownership (CNPF), in particular by the Regional Centre CRPF-PACA, and addressed to private and public stakeholders of these NWFPs value chains. Second day included a field trip.  This two-day event (cerried out on 7-8 March) was dedicated to share experiences about economic development (private and public) that ensures the quality of products and preserves local identities.

The partners of INCREDIBLE project met in Padova (Italy) on 3th and 4th December for their second General Gssembly, in which they took the pulse of the development of the first year of this project, which aims to create a series of innovation networks in non-wood forest products in the Mediterranean basin. For two days, the work carried out so far was analysed through round tables, dynamic sessions and meetings of the working groups in charge of the tasks of this H2020 project, which includes 13 partners from eight different countries.

The Wild Nuts & Berries iNet Scoping Seminar was held in Coruche (Ribajeto, Portugal), on 14 and 15 June 2018. Here is a small graphical review of the meeting of both days, in which the iNet took its first steps.
