Innovative businesses and entrepreneurship for non-wood forest products: opportunities for the rural economy

UPDATE: Check here the programme with the links to the presentations (also available in Transversal resources).

This cross-cutting seminar, the second one of INCREDIBLE project, will be entirely devoted to NWFP entrepreneurship, engaging participants through stimulating and participatory ways to express business innovation and creativity. Barriers and drivers to innovation will be assessed and experiences in supporting innovation through EAFRD’s Rural Development measures will be shared and transferred.

The main objectives are:

  1. Disseminate business innovations and creativity in entrepreneurship and rural development based on NWFP, through real experiences.
  2. Cross-pollinate innovative business ideas between NWFP and other sectors.
  3. Assess drivers and barriers to business innovation and entrepreneurship.
  4. Provide B2B meetings opportunities in a marketplace.

The final aim is creating cross-sectorial partnerships and supporting NWFP actors and practitioners in the development of innovative solutions for NWFP management.

This meeting is addressed to entrepreneurs, start-ups and established businesses in NWFP, in agriculture and in other plant-based or plant-derived products, but also to entrepreneurs, start-ups and consolidated businesses in tourism, and potential entrepreneurs in any of these areas. The contents of this meeting may also be of special interest to rural development professionals and agencies, advisors, policy makers and researchers.

Check here the programme of this cross-cutting seminar. Registration to the event is now closed. However, you can still register to attend the marketplace (Friday 28 February, from 14:30 to 18:00) as visitor. Deadline to register: Thursday 27 February at 18:00.
