Sardinia will host the first 'Science to Practice' event of INCREDIBLE project

All cork Sardinian stakeholders have an appointment next 26th September, in Alghero (Sardinia, Italy)  to participate in the first 'Science to Practice' event of INCREDIBLE project. This meeting will be held coinciding with the EFI's 2018 Annual Conference which is also held this year in Alghero, Sardinia, Italy.

On the same day, will also take place the scientific seminar Roots to riches: Genetics products of stone pine and Mediterranean oaks, organised by EFI in collaboration with the EUFORGEN and EVOLTREE initiatives, INCREDIBLE project, European Hardwoods Innovation (EHIA) and the French Institute of Technology for Forest-based and Furniture Sectors (FCBA). The morning session looks into the genetics, management and uses of cork oak and also stone pine. Discussions will start from the state of science and management, with the aim of strengthening networking and collaboration between forest management, industry and research. In the afternoon, attendees will examine the role of Mediterranean oaks in the forest-based bioeconomy.
