Catalonia hosts a 'Science to Practice' event focused on mushroom hunting regulation in Spain

A new Science to Practice event of Mushrooms & Truffles will be held on 19th November in Solsona (Lleida) at the headquarters of the Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia (CTFC), organiser of the meeting. It is aimed at forest owners, managers, forest policy makers and also students, who will have the opportunity to know about different examples of mushroom hunting regulation in Spain, aiming to discuss their legal framework as well as the opportunities derived with their application.

The H2020 INCREDIBLE project continues its work to foster the spread and exchange of knowledge related to non-wood forest products (NWFP) in the Mediterranean basin through five “Science to Practice” events that have been held in different partner countries. Representatives of the Mediterranean value chain for Wild Mushrooms and Truffles held an international meeting in the Spanish regions of Castilla y León and Aragón on 19 – 20 June.

The Scoping Seminar was attended by researchers, technicians, policy makers, public administrators, mushroom pickers and processing and trading companies from Spain, France, Italy, Croatia and Greece.

INCREDIBLE projekt ima za cilj pokazati kako nedrvni šumski proizvodi (NDŠP) mogu imati važnu ulogu u podržavanju održivog gospodarenja šumama i ruralnom razvoju, stvaranjem mreža za dijeljenje i razmjenu znanja i iskustva. "Inovativne mreže pluta, smole i jestivih plodova u mediteranskom bazenu" (INCREDIBLE) promiču međusektorsku suradnju i inovacije kako bi se istaknula vrijednost i potencijal NDŠP-a u regiji.
