Pine tapping in Tunisia: New socio-economic opportunities?

This event will be organized online taking into consideration the new measures and restrictions of COVID-19. The Science to Practice, organised by our partner INRGREF, includes two sessions: During the first day, speakers will give an overview about the resin tapping in Tunisia and France and during the second day presenters will explain the Spanish experience and extraction techniques. During these days, participants have the opportunity to ask their questions and all presentations will be shared by the end of the event.

Addressed to forest technicians and engineers responsible for the management of the state forest domain, researchers, SMEs, PhD students and extension agencies, this event aims to deal with these issues:

  • New socio-economic opportunities behind resin production
  • Overview about resin tapping techniques and its transformation methods
  • Perspectives of resin production in the Mediterranean area: Insights from the French and Spanish experience
