The INCREDIBLE Policy Forum: “Untapping the potential of non-wood forest products for Europe's green economy” is almost here but registration is still open!
The event, held online on 16 and 17 March, comprises 3 digital sessions focused on actions needed to position non-wood forest products (NWFP) as a pillar of Europe's bioeconomy.
An opportunity to consider the salient issues for NWFP policies and enrich a white paper on policy priorities for non-wood forest products in Europe.
Keynote speakers, including Patricia Shanley (People and Plants International), James Chamberlain (USDA and IUFRO) and Davide Pettenella (University of Padova) with representatives from DG Agri and DG Env of the European Commission. The event, hosted by Marc Palahí (EFI) and Ewald Rametsteiner (FAO), is honoured to welcome Joao Pedro Matos Fernandes, Minister of Environment for Portugal to the opening session.
Besides, Sven Walter (FAO) will present the “Manifesto on Non-Wood Forest Products”, which the participants will be able to read and send comments or suggestions.
This Policy Forum is organised by the INCREDIBLE project consortium, led by the European Forest Institute (EFI) and co-organised by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), with the support of FoReSTAS (regional Foresta Agency for Land and the Environment of Sardinia) and the Cesefor Foundation.
